Downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico //
Project: Daily Drawing

I’m really digging this iPad mini. Here I am, on my super-huge iPad pro with all of it’s bells and whistles, and I blog on it. Then I have my cheap-o iPad mini and I create masterpieces (yes, I said it. I’m pretty proud of this one) with it.
This weekend I’m in Downtown Albuquerque, but last weekend I was in my Cabin, surrounded by thorny plants and prehistoric insects. I saw my first tarantula hawk wasp. She was beautiful! She let me get really close, but wanted nothing to do with me. Super quirky movements and definitely on a mission. She was hunting tarantulas.
This is the state insect of New Mexico. I’ve lived here for over a decade and this is the first one I’ve seen in nature. Of course, she was my next exercise.
I told you I would draw bugs all day.
